Our Story

We are a recently established (2022) small farm.  Having a farm has been a dream of ours for years.  We recently bought our farm in 2019 and have been slowly turning that dream into a reality.  We started last year with 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats and have expanded our herd to 10 does (a mix of Nigerians and Nigerian/Pygmy cross) and 3 bucks (Nigerian Dwarves).  We are excited to begin our first breeding season in Spring 2023!  While setting up our goats have been our primary focus of the 2022 year, we have so many expansions planned in the coming years beginning in 2023!  We hope you enjoy our seeing our journey as we do navigating it.

Mission and Aspirations

Bringing the joy of farm animals to others

We have grown up loving different types of farm animals and both I and my husband have experience raising a plethora of farm animals.  We hope through our farm we will allow others to experience the joy that owning livestock can bring.  Right now our focus is primarily on goats, with expansion planning to bring in other livestock as well.  These animals are truly amazing with their own little nuances and we cannot wait to bring education and enjoyment to other families that want to experience these little critters.

In the years that we have got our farm started our herd has grown significantly!  We added 5 more Nigerian Dwarf (unregistered) does to our herd as well as 1 (unregistered) buckling.  We are hoping in the 2024-2025 year to add a new expansion of Registered Nigerian Dwarfs to our herd!

Our mission is to bring quality Nigerian and Nigerian Dwarf goats, be they registered or unregistered to quality homes.  We understand that while goats may be livestock, they can also be part of the family (our herd sure is!).  We want to bring the joy of owning these small ruminants to old and new goat owners alike!  We have taken many classes and did extensive research to maintain a quality herd.

We also want our goat owners to be able to enjoy their goats.  We spend hours with babies socializing and getting them ready for their new homes.  We implemented this year (2024) a packet to be sent home with all of our babies.  As we get a lot of new goat owners or newer goat owners we give helpful information, terminology and handy medications to have on hand.  We also offer lifetime mentorship for every goat leaving our farm.  We want you to feel confident while maintaining your herd and the best way to build confidence is through knowledge and having someone to ask the questions to!

In the coming years, we do home to bring other miniature livestock to our farm.  Our farm is centered around miniature livestock.  We understand (and have it too) that larger livestock can take a lot of land to own.  That is why we are confident in our choice of miniatures for our small and growing farm.

Our Personal Story

Our Roots Grow Deep

My husband (Dale) and I (Jennifer) have been married for almost 20 years.  I (Jennifer) have grew up with farm animals ranging from chickens, pigs, cows, ducks and ponies.  It has always been our dream to be able to start a little farm of our own and in 2019 we were able to begin the first steps on that journey.  We purchased a 14 acre farm nestled in the small town of Lawrenceburg, KY that is situated between the two cities of Lexington KY and Louisville KY.  It is here that our dream shaped into reality.  It took us a few years and a lot of work to begin our journey.  We bought our first doe goats in September of 2021 and from there we have grown our small herd into a total of 13 with plans on expansion.  While our goats may have been our first stop, they are certainly not our last.  Our expansion is already being planned for the next year with more livestock to come and much much more.  We are so excited to be beginning our journey and that we will be able to share it with you
